Exploiting and understanding Solanaceous genomes

Registration now closed!

Announcing the 3rd transPLANT user training workshop, focused on the latest developments in the key plant data resources in Europe and how to use them. With a special reference to Solanaceae genomes, especially tomato and potato, the workshop will be held in Wageningen, the Netherlands on October 13-14, 2014.

The workshop is targeted at (experimental) biologists and breeders who need to use plant data resources in their everyday work to interpret observations and plan research objectives. No particular prior informatics knowledge or skills are required.

In the different sessions, the workshop will introduce key plant data resources and tools, with emphasis on hands-on training on how to obtain, search and use the data. The local organizer is Wageningen University & Research Centre (WUR), Applied Bioinformatics, Plant Research International.

transPLANT is a vibrant consortium of 11 European partners gathered to address the challenges of complex plant genome data integration and analysis, aiming to develop a trans-national infrastructure for plant genomic science.
